The 2018 Sir Harry Brittain Memorial Lecture, after the Annual Meeting on Monday 15th October, will be given by Dame DeAnne Julius.
Dame DeAnne Julius will talk to us about ‘A disruptive decade ahead’.
Following a BSc degree in economics, Dame Deanne Julius began her active career at the CIA as an economic analyst and after earning her PhD worked with the World Bank in Washington D.C.
She has handled extensive roles in the private sector. From 1986 until 1997 she held a succession of posts including chief economist at British Airways and Royal Dutch Shell. From 2003–12 she was Chairman of Chatham House (formally known as The Royal Institute of International Affairs), in London and is currently Chair of University College London (UCL) Council. She is also a non-executive director of Jones Lang LaSalle and ICE Benchmark Administration (IBA).
Deanne Julius was appointed Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 2002 and Dame Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (DCMG) in the 2013 New Year’s Honours for services to international relations.
There will be an optional supper nearby at the Cote Brasserie, Ludgate Hill at a cost of £35.00 per person.
